  • Sunday nights: this is the place to be! Every Sunday looks a little different, usually with some combination of the following: prayer, teaching, discussion, worship, outreach, games and every once in a while, food.  Don’t believe us (about the food)? Show up next week, January 24th,  7PM @ Bordertown to eat pizza and kick off the semester!
  • Bible studies: a great way to get connected with young men/women who want to study the Word, fight the good fight, run the race and keep the faith.  Several bible studies happen during the week, so shoot us an e-mail at umnchialpha@hotmail.com if you’re interested!

As you’ve probably noticed, we’ve been doing some work on the site. A google calendar containing our events should be up soon, so be sure to check back and subscribe!

(Aren’t we all?)  Well, you’re in luck… XA is STILL meeting this summer, so if you’re in the Twin Cities area, come hang with us for summer bible study!

Summer Bible Study takes place every other Monday night, 7 pm @ Pat @ Anna Holappa’s, and it’s a great way to connect with people, so bringing friends is STRONGLY encouraged!! :) Here’s a rundown of the evening:

  • 7-8 pm: FUN!!! – i.e., outdoor activities like ultimate frisbee, soccer, sand volleyball, football, playground tag, etc…
  • 8-9 pm: snacks, FIRE, & bible study

Bible Study Fire Exact dates at the Holappa’s: 6/8, 6/22, 7/6, 7/20, 8/3, 8/17, 8/31 (you can subscribe to our gmail events calendar here.). If you need directions to the Holappa’s house, e-mail us at umnchialpha@hotmail.com. There are carpools happening every week, too, so let us know if you need a ride!

Check out the new weekly schedule for this fall! (Sorry for the delay… BUT, we’ve finally got all our times set. Finally!)

  • SUNDAY NIGHT EVENTS: “Co-ed small group,” “Main Chi Alpha meeting,” whatever you want to call it… this is the night for EVERYBODY to come, hang out with each other, have some fun, some discussion, some bible study, some prayer, quite possibly some worship and ever-more-increasingly-possible FOOD. For the first few weeks, we’ll be taking advantage of good weather to do some stuff OUTSIDE.
    • Sunday nights (every week!!), 6:00 pm — meet at Sojourn Campus Church (310 18th Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN, 55455)
      • 9/7/08 – Ultimate Frisbee
      • 9/14/08 – Indoor game night (due to rain)
      • 9/21/08 – Volleyball (most likely at the Superblock)
      • 9/28/08 – Yard Games (Badminton, Bocce, Croquet, etc.)
  • LADIES’ BIBLE STUDIES
    • Tuesdays, 6:30 pm @ Bordertown Coffehouse – reading Sex God by Rob Bell
    • Wednesdays, 8:30 pm @ Res Halls in the Superblock (TBA – meet in Centennial lobby)
  • MEN’S BIBLE STUDIES
    • Mondays, 7:00 pm @ Sojourn Campus Church (downstairs to the left, in the prayer room)
    • Tuesdays, 9:00 pm @ Pioneer Hall for Res Hall guys (meet in the lobby)
